The next morning we hunted down the fabled Lindt Chocolate Factory which ended up being in a suburb called Kilchberg. The exhibition showcased the history of Lindt and Sprugli and sent us home with some free samples. Damn fine chocolate. Afterward we headed down to the South of Switzerland and stopped in to Lausanne to see the Alps. We also hit an unusual art gallery called Gallerie D'Art Brut. It was interesting to see everyday people's artwork.
We then headed to Tasche, another Swiss village nestled in the mountains. It was a tough decision we had to make to either stay or head back to Italy that night, but in the morning we would be able to go to Zermatt and see the Matterhorn, if we stayed. We spent the night in another incredible cottage, this time in Tasche. We made the right choice. We woke to spectacular views on all sides, and after a twenty minute shuttle ride, we were standing at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn. The drive back to Italy that afternoon was unbelievable at every turn. It would have been such a waste had we driven it at night.
