After checking out the local open-air market, we went to get some money from a back machine since we were running low on Euros (while incidentally, I can't figure out how Montenegro is allowed to use the Euro). A bank machine, eh? No such luck. They don't have them. Huh? Even Russia had them. Nope, not Yugoslavia. How 'bout traveler's cheques then? Nope. Not really. Ah!!!
So with about twenty or so Euros to our name and various amounts of other currencies and backs already closed due to Christmas, we hunted for cheaper, bug-free accomodation (though we weren't in any position to be picky). We got a really cheap room with a lady that runs a restaurant down the street from our hotel. It was freezing but it was withing our current budget. We camped out for the night and nibbled on the food stuffs we had bought the day before. We actually had a really wonderful night despite the temperature and our sudden poverty. Georgina at on point actually used the phrase, "We'll get a loaf of bread tomorrow morning, if we can afford it" and she was being completely serious.
